The 9th York 50 + Festival, presented by the York Older People’s Assembly, runs from Saturday 28 September to Sunday 6 October 2013. This year there will be up to 115 events!
The City Sport and Active Leisure team have pitched in with 33 invitations to Eng-AGE in the “50+ Games” in clubs and sports centres around the city. The Libraries around town are offering daily workshops like “Tackling Facebook”, “Tweets in Acomb”, “Tablets – Try before you Buy” and how to download library books from online. There are many more activities in and around the city so make sure you dont miss out by downloading or picking up a copy of the festival programme today!

Alternatively the full programme is now on the YOPA (York Older People’s Assembly) website www.yorkassembly.org.uk/festival and paper copies will be at all libraries, community centres and city centre outlets, including the Quaker Meeting House, in early September.

** On Thursday 12th September there will be a pre-festival event. The 50+ Information Fair will be held at the Guildhall and opened by the Civic Party at 10 am. Here you will find 30 information stands with a further 6 stands at the Spurriergate Centre, as an example of the pre-festival events for you to look out for. **
