With well over 60 events this year, York International Women’s Week is once again poised to enliven the city 7 - 14 March.
Workshops include Silk Roundel Painting with the York Carers Forum, Finding Your Words with Pauline Kirk and Rose Drew, Soul Drumming at St Olave’s, Eco-Crafters at St Nick’s Environment Centre, and flower arranging at Acomb Explore Library.
If you are interested in food why not Go Bananas for Fair Trade and meet a woman banana farmer from Columbia, or sample a Berry Meringue Stack at Tea on the Green, or join Jameela’s Kitchen for an afternoon of Palestinian food at Clement’s Hall.
There are 17 different health and wellbeing events for you to choose from an amazing range including week-long chiropractic offers, life coaching, tapping away your tension with EFT, Tuina reflexology, back pain management with yoga, managing change and understanding anxiety, easing joints with Alexander Technique, facial treatments, toning tables, and energy medicine. Watch out also for Women Making Sense of Life and Meeting Your Inner Goddess (photo included!).
