What happens?
York's rivers will take centre stage in July for the fifth annual Festival of the Rivers.
The popular festival promises to be bigger and better than ever this year, with a wide range of cultural and leisure activities to celebrate York's rivers - The Ouse and The Foss.
Activities will include the annual Dragon Boat Race, Big River Dance, Sizzling Summer Salsa event, York Canoe Race, an Artist fair in Tower Gardens, Storytelling, Wildlife walks, 'Revenge of the Ouse' Triathlon.
This year will feature the 'Big River Dance', taking place in Tower Gardens at 2pm on 17th and in Minster Gardens at 2pm on 25th, learn the steps and join in to prepare for the World Record attempt of over 8,000 people dancing at the warm up for the Jane Tomlinson event on 1st August.
